‘s Hanging Gardens and Cohons’ Snails

In 2018, the two remarkable gardens—Silières and Vergentière—were selected by the Selection Committee of Mission Patrimoine for inclusion on the list of 250 sites and monuments receiving state funding for preservation or restoration.

The Silières Garden, a French-style garden created in 1661 by Le Nôtre, and the Vergentière garden, set on dry-stone terraces, which dates from shortly before the Revolution
This vast complex, unique in France, located in the small village of Cohons, also includes the Stone Snail Park, laid out in 1808.

Sound and art performances, as well as self-guided or guided night walks, will delight you there in July and August.
